Location:

Description:
Next Year in Jerusalem–for 100 Reasons

The myrtle flower from which Hadassah takes its name is known for its hardiness; not only does it flourish in sandy soil, it enriches it. Anyone who has seen the Hadassah institutions that have sprouted and grown in the once undernourished soil of Israel knows that we have transformed simple botany into the building of a nation.

Even as our building continues, it is time to celebrate. In 2012, Hadassah will observe its 100th birthday and we are planning a gala Centennial Convention in Jerusalem. The highlight of the Convention will be the dedication of the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower, which will be Israel's most advanced medical facility.

Hadassah's impact on the landscape of Israel—in medicine, education, youth activities and the environment—is so great that we could arrange an entire itinerary around our projects. But our Centennial Convention will include so much more, from meeting with some of Israel's most creative people to exploring its rich culture, from walking the beautiful pathways of Jerusalem to pre- and post-Convention tours of sights around the country. You'll see new towers rising and archaeologists digging. You'll have the chance to swim, dance, explore, learn or relax in places our ancestors only dreamed of.

So make your plans now to be in Jerusalem in October 2012. We aim to make this the largest Hadassah gathering ever. It will be a family affair, as well, with more than enough to keep you, your children and grandchildren engaged.Come celebrate the work of your hands.

Come and see how so much in Israel has been nourished by the hardy roots Hadassah plants.
